In rural areas the 'Wall' actually is a fence and barbed wire structure. This configuration actually destroys a much wider swath of land than the urban concrete slabs of wall. The picture (right) shows the entire width of the structure: 1) barbed wire, 2) an access road for Israeli military, 3) a sand path (to record footprints), 4) an electrified fence, and 5) more barbed wire.
